Sterling boards and sanding sponges are both construction materials that are generally left unseen after the final work is complete in most building construction projects. We never see them and yet without them, some of the places we love and enjoy, or perhaps call home, may not actually exist.
This new series celebrates these two materials as the “seen” and “recognized” pieces in the completed work. They take center stage instead of their usual backstage roles. It is a celebration of the many unsung heroes in our lives - those who stay behind the scenes and generally go unnoticed, and yet are so essential in our day-to-day lives.
